Our swiss friend Attilio Miani organized this nice meeting in Istria, a great landscape in Slowenia, not far away from Trieste in Italy. The first day was the biggest challenge, because there were 1000 km and something by autobahn and autostrada to go to get there. But it was worth while. Our "home" was in Portoroz and the first day there we went to the real lovely fisher's village Piran. It's located on a peninsula reaching into the Adria and with its castle, marina and venetian style market square very very pittoresque. A tour through small villages and hills of the vineyard region followed, the day ending with a photoshooting at the casino in Portoroz.

Next day we did the "big Istria tour" through Slowenia and Kroatia visiting a spectacular cave,  the beautiful istrian town Porec and the Limski Kanal, a bay looking almost like a norwegian fjord. Nearby the former Istrian capital Motovan we had a dinner with lots of the local specialties white truffle and wine. The third day we saw Trieste with its famous Castello Miramare and in the afternoon there was a boat tour along the Istrian coast with a fish picknick onboard. So in the end we were really sad to leave that great region.
